Mission & Goals
RIC Energy, founded in Spain in 2005 as a pioneer in the photovoltaic solar market, is now a global leader with projects across four continents. We specialize in developing, constructing, operating, and financing renewable energy assets, including green hydrogen, energy storage, biogas, and wind power. With a development portfolio exceeding 20,000 MW, we drive innovation and sustainability through cutting-edge technologies. Our mission is to meet society’s energy needs with environmentally responsible solutions while delivering sustainable returns to shareholders and empowering our employees’ growth. We engage closely with communities to reduce carbon emissions, protect ecosystems, and promote a just, inclusive transition to a low-carbon economy, fostering positive social and environmental impact worldwide.
EU Legislative Interests
RIC Energy is committed to actively participating in key European Union initiatives and policies that advance renewable energy and the clean energy transition. Our focus centers on the most relevant frameworks such as the European Green Deal, the Clean Energy Package for all Europeans, the Long-Term Decarbonization Strategy - Fit for 55, and the Internal Energy Market. We also prioritize strategic policies including the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), ReFuelEU Aviation, FuelEU Maritime, Sustainable Finance, and the Emissions Trading System (ETS). Additionally, we engage with initiatives targeting clean mobility, energy efficiency, and the Just Transition Mechanism to ensure a fair and inclusive shift to a low-carbon economy. This comprehensive approach aligns with RIC Energy’s dedication to driving innovation and sustainability in photovoltaic solar, biogas, hydrogen, wind power, and circular economy solutions, supporting the EU’s goal for a climate-neutral, competitive, and resilient energy future.
