Mission & Goals
Restless Development Zambia is a locally registered, independent non-governmental organisation (NGO) with its own board, ensuring that its work is deeply rooted in the unique needs and challenges of Zambian communities. While affiliated with Restless Development globally, it operates as a distinct and autonomous entity, guided by local expertise and insights to effectively serve the Zambian context. Restless Development Zambia is headquartered in Central Province,Kabwe District (P.O. Box 80305) with a branch office in Lusaka. Our vision for is that young people demand and deliver a just and sustainable world. We envision a Zambia where young people meaningfully participate in development for social and economic transformation. Our Mission is to provide a meaningful evidence base and actively promote youth leadership as the centre of development in Zambia.For us, youth-led development means unleashing the leadership of young people as assets toward solving Zambia’s challenges.
EU Legislative Interests
We aim to target any policies/ proposals that speak to transforming the lives of Young people as well as proposals/policies that enable young people to demonstrate the role they can play in development processes as active participants and not just tools and recipients of development. Our work aligns to the country’s Vision 2030 and the 8th National Development Plan (8NDP), which also positions the “peak youth” generation as vital to achieving the country’s priority plans and Sustainable Development Goals.
Communication Activities
We convene spaces for dialogue; hold events; campaigns; position papers as well as participate in policy dialogue meetings as part of the communication activities including story telling.
