Mission & Goals
ResponsibleSteel is a global, multi-stakeholder initiative dedicated to driving the sustainable production and responsible sourcing of steel. Its mission is to enhance the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards within the steel industry by developing robust certification frameworks and fostering collaboration among industry participants, civil society, and policymakers. Through independent assurance, benchmarking, and engagement, ResponsibleSteel aims to support decarbonisation efforts, improve ethical supply chain practices, and ensure steel production contributes positively to both global climate goals and community well-being.
