Mission & Goals

Rata Sh.p.k. is a well-established company with many years of experience in the field of energy efficiency, founded in 2010 in Prishtina. The company specializes in the design and installation of electrical networks, with a particular focus on solar and thermal energy solutions. Committed to delivering high-quality products and professional services, Rata provides modern energy systems for both private homes and industrial facilities across the Kosovar market. It is the first company in the country to introduce a solar-powered water pumping system from the Italian manufacturer NSTEC. Today, Rata employs over 20 qualified and well-organized staff members and is actively involved in some of the most important renewable energy projects in Kosovo. With a strong dedication to innovation and quality, Rata has positioned itself as a reliable leader in the growing renewable energy sector.

EU Legislative Interests

As a leading provider of solar and thermal energy solutions in Kosovo, Rata Sh.p.k. actively monitors developments in relevant European Union legislation to ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continued trust among clients and stakeholders. Our engagement with EU legislative frameworks supports our mission to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable infrastructure development. The following legislative proposals and regulations are particularly relevant to our operations: • Regulation on Energy Efficiency (Recast of Directive 2012/27/EU) – Directly supports our focus on improving energy performance in residential and industrial installations through advanced solar and thermal technologies. • Renewable Energy Directive (Directive (EU) 2018/2001) – Essential to our role in advancing the use of renewable energy sources, ensuring our services align with EU targets for clean energy transition. • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – Important to our internal processes and client relations, particularly in handling project data, energy usage analytics, and customer service communications. • Proposal for a Regulation on Ecodesign for Sustainable Products (COM/2022/142 final) – Supports our commitment to offering high-efficiency, eco-friendly energy systems that meet evolving sustainability standards in the EU and beyond. By aligning our operations with these legislative frameworks, Rata Sh.p.k. reinforces its position as a forward-thinking and responsible player in the renewable energy sector.

Communication Activities

Our project is in its intial phase and potential events, campaigns and publications will depend on potential cooperation with EU within Call for expressions of interest from EU/EEA/Western Balkans-based businesses to invest in the Western Balkans.
