EU Legislative Interests
We believe that the improvement of connectivity is crucial for economic development and global competitiveness, and that it is necessary to ensure that the socioeconomic benefits that come from such connectivity are enjoyed equally by all citizens. We fully support investment in digital infrastructure with policy and regulatory frameworks that remove barriers to network rollout and safeguard that no one is left behind. In the EU we are committed to contribute to achieving the connectivity targets of the Digital Agenda for 2030 in terms of fibre, 5G and edge node deployment. We are interested in regulatory initiatives related to digital infrastructure and connectivity, and also in Network Innovation, Competition Policy, Global Impact and Sustainability. In particular we are interested in the Digital Networks Act (DNA), the Cloud and AI Development Act (CAIDA) and the Guidance for the implementation of the Gigabit Infrastructure Act (GIA).
