Mission & Goals
RACINE.AI is a French deeptech SME specialising in sovereign embedded generative AI for autonomous physical systems, with a focus on Vision-Language Models (VLM) and Vision-Language-Action models (VLA) deployed in air-gapped edge-computing environments. The company designs frugal AI models for defence drones and other autonomous platforms, operating on-premise with no cloud dependency. RACINE.AI is a subsidiary of TW3 Partners. Its mission is to contribute to European technological sovereignty in defence AI by developing on-board reasoning capabilities for tactical UAVs and ground robotics, deployable in contested environments including those documented on the Ukrainian theatre.
EU Legislative Interests
Participation in EU defence industrial initiatives led by DG DEFIS, in particular the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance. Areas of interest include the European Defence Industrial Strategy (EDIS), the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP), the European Defence Fund (EDF), and policy work supporting the EU Defence Readiness Roadmap 2030 (JOIN(2025)27). RACINE.AI contributes technical expertise on embedded sovereign AI for autonomous drones, edge inference in GPS-denied and RF-jammed environments, and interoperability of autonomous systems between EU Member States and Ukraine.

Additional Information
RACINE.AI is a 6-person deeptech SME founded in June 2024. The estimated cost reflects approximately 0.2 FTE (around 45 working days per year) split between two executives for participation in EU industrial alliances, in particular the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance. The estimate includes personnel costs (loaded salary), occasional travel between Paris and Brussels for board and working group meetings, and a small share of office overheads. The company has no dedicated public affairs function and incurs no costs for events, publications, paid advertising, or external intermediaries related to interest representation activities.
