The protection of humanitarian personnel in conflict and crisis settings, particularly through the enforcement and strengthening of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the promotion of legislative measures that ensure the safety and wellbeing of humanitarian workers. Monitoring and contributing to EU policies and resolutions on civilians in armed conflict and the criminalisation of humanitarian action, including discussions at the EU level on the protection of humanitarian space. Advocating for a European strategy that supports the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of humanitarian personnel, including policy recommendations to relevant EU institutions (e.g., DG ECHO). Policies addressing the erosion of humanitarian principles and political interference in humanitarian aid.
