Mission & Goals
Promote Georgia ASBL was registered in Belgium in June 2023 and acts on the basis of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Belgium, laws, other normative legal acts, international treaties of the Kingdom of Belgium and the present Statute. The organisation has the following goals: - Contribute to the establishment of contacts and linkages between the Georgian nationals in Belgium as well as in the European Union. - Promote the ideas of active citizenship amongst the Georgians living in both Georgia and abroad. - Advocate for the European future of Georgia. - Promote the constitutional goal of the Georgian people to integrate into the European Union. - Facilitate promotion of Georgian culture in Belgium. - Support the Georgian citizens living in Belgium to participate and observe elections as one of the means to take part in the decision-making in Georgia.
EU Legislative Interests
Promote Georgia targets the European Union's enlargement policy and its bilateral relations with the country of Georgia - a candidate country for the EU membership since December 2023. The organisation aims to act as a bridge between Brussels and Tbilisi in terms of providing fact-checked, up-to-date information regarding political and social developments in Georgia. Promote Georgia does not target any other legislative proposals or policies.
Communication Activities
Members of Promote Georgia implement their activities on a volunteering basis. Since the registration of the organisation in June 2023, the organisation has (co)organised: 1. One discussion event at the European Parliament co-organised with the Ukrainian and Moldovan civil society partners and hosted by an MEP Lena Schilling. 2. Participated in over 10 discussion events organised by the Brussels based non-governmental organisations and contributing with the perspective from Georgia. 3. Information campaign ahead of the Georgian Parliamentary elections in October 2024 aimed at informed Georgian citizens based abroad about their rights and electoral procedures. This campaign was co-organised with the Georgia based election watchdog ISFED and a Berlin based Georgian diaspora organisation GZA (Georgisches Zentrum im Ausland). 4. Hosted four cultural events in Brussels and Amsterdam, contributing to the exchange of experience, development and establishment of intercultural dialogue. 5. Organised up to 20 protest actions in Brussels and Amsterdam bringing Georgians and the friends of Georgia together in solidarity with the people of Georgia.

2024 will be our first financial year deposit which is still ongoing and our main source of funding is mostly donations and Member's contribution
