EU Legislative Interests

Die wichtigsten anvisierten Strategien und Legislativvorschläge der Europäischen Union betreffen vor allem die digitale Transformation, den Klimaschutz und die wirtschaftliche Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Ein zentrales Vorhaben ist der Europäische Green Deal, der die EU bis 2050 klimaneutral machen soll, unter anderem durch strengere Emissionsziele, den Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien und nachhaltige Mobilität. Im digitalen Bereich verfolgt die EU Strategien zur Regulierung von Künstlicher Intelligenz, Datenräumen und Plattformen, etwa durch Gesetze zur KI-Regulierung und zur Kontrolle großer Online-Plattformen. Weitere wichtige Initiativen betreffen die Stärkung der europäischen Industrie und technologischen Souveränität, etwa durch Förderprogramme für Halbleiter, Batterietechnologien und Wasserstoff. Gleichzeitig arbeitet die EU an Reformen im Energie- und Migrationsbereich sowie an Maßnahmen zur gemeinsamen Sicherheit und Verteidigung, um auf geopolitische Herausforderungen und Krisen besser reagieren zu können. Deine wichtigste anvisierte Strategie und Mitarbeit auf Unionsebene erfolgt im Rahmen der Informellen Expertengruppe für Forschung und Innovation der Europäischen Union im Automobilsektor (EURIAS). Im Rahmen meiner Rolle für die Technische Universität München unterstütze ich die Europäische Kommission aktiv bei der strategischen Ausrichtung der Forschung und Innovation im Automobilsektor. Als Teil der informellen Expertengruppe EURIAS (SG Register code E04020) bringe ich wissenschaftliche Expertise ein, um zukunftsweisende Impulse für die europäische Mobilität zu setzen. Mein Fokus liegt dabei auf der fachlichen Beratung der zuständigen Kommissionsdienststellen, um die Transformation des Sektors durch fundierte Forschungsbeiträge zu begleiten. Durch diese enge Zusammenarbeit trage ich direkt dazu bei, die Innovationskraft der Union im globalen Wettbewerb zu stärken und nachhaltige Lösungen für den Automobilbereich zu fördern.

Communication Activities

Es bestehen keine spezifischen Kommunikationsaktivitäten (z. B. Veranstaltungen, Kampagnen oder Veröffentlichungen), die direkt auf EU-Politikbereiche oder EU-Legislativvorschläge ausgerichtet sind. Bei der Organisation handelt es sich um eine universitäre Forschungseinrichtung.

The Professorship of Autonomous Vehicle Systems is a research unit within the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and does not constitute an independent legal entity. It operates fully within the institutional and legal framework of TUM. The professorship does not hold separate institutional memberships in associations, federations, networks, or similar structures specifically in relation to the activities covered by the Transparency Register. Its primary institutional affiliation is therefore with the Technical University of Munich. In the context of its academic activities, the professorship engages in research and development collaborations with a range of academic and industry partners in the field of automated and autonomous driving. These collaborations are project-based and may include both current and past partners. Examples of such cooperation partners include: Honda Research Institute (HRI), United States Tier IV, Japan BMW AG, Munich, Germany SAP SE, Germany These collaborations are conducted as research and innovation projects and may involve joint research activities, data exchange, or funding arrangements. However, they do not constitute formal memberships, structural affiliations, or governance relationships in the sense of the Transparency Register guidelines. The Professorship of Autonomous Vehicle Systems is a research unit within the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and does not constitute an independent legal or financial entity. As such, it does not prepare separate financial statements or maintain a standalone institutional budget. The financial information provided in this registration therefore reflects a good-faith estimate of the annual financial resources allocated to and managed within the professorship for the most recent closed financial year, based on internal budget allocations and third-party research funding. As a public university, the Technical University of Munich operates under public sector accounting rules and is not structured around profit and loss reporting in the sense of private entities. Its funding is primarily derived from: state base funding (public funding), competitively acquired third-party research funding (e.g. national and international research grants, including industry-funded research projects). The total budget declared corresponds to the overall financial resources available to the professorship for research and teaching activities during the relevant financial year and includes both institutional funding and third-party funding. The activities covered by this registration—namely participation in an expert group of the European Commission and related exchanges—are carried out as part of regular academic duties and represent only a very small fraction of the overall activities of the professorship. No specific or separate budget is allocated to these activities.
