Mission & Goals
PROFEL represents over 500 companies in 11 European countries that produce fruit preserves and fruit spreads, compotes, canned deciduous fruit, frozen fruit, frozen vegetables, canned vegetables and dehydrated vegetables. As its mission, PROFEL - Monitors legislative developments relevant to the fruit and vegetable processing sector - Provides information and support to its members, advises them on all policy aspects likely to affect their businesses (regulatory, agricultural, trade-related policies, etc) and promotes the spirit of co-operation between the different countries - Coordinates common positions and sector-specific technical input - Promotes the image of its products by raising the profile of processed fruit and vegetables, and in particular communicates on their excellent nutritional qualities – they keep a vital part of nutrients during the processing - thanks to which they contribute greatly to the recommended daily intake of essential nutrients (...)
