Mission & Goals
Port of Amsterdam is the Port Authority responsible for the management and development of the Amsterdam Port area.
EU Legislative Interests
Port of Amsterdam is interested in legislative Eu proposals relevant for port development and sustainability in shipping. For instance developments concerning the TENt regulations (infrastructure in ports and hinterland connection (inland waterways, rail, road and port access), FITfor55 (regulations concerning the development of on shore power supply in ports), regulations concerning the development of sustainable fuels for shipping and the role of seaports in this (bio fuels and e-fuels, bunker facilities in port areas), regulations concerning data exchange between parties in the logistical chain and the role of port authorities in this, regulations concerning the improvement of intermodal transport. Port of Amsterdam is part of three TENt corridors (North Sea Baltic, North sea Mediterrean and Rhine Alpine). Port of Amsterdam is in two so called Interreg regions (North Sea and North West Metropolitan).
Communication Activities
Port of Amsterdam is a member of ESPO (European Sea Ports Organization) and participates in its working groups and several other activitities organized by ESPO.
