Mission & Goals
The Island Movement is a network of professionals with many years of experience in community development, project planning and implementation, team management, societal transformation, strategy and business plan implementation. We operate at the European, national and local levels as catalysts of change and advisors for strategic local development. Our mission is to encourage communities and individuals to transform towards sustainable development and a more responsible society. Through our activities and projects, we strengthen the capacities of island communities to achieve self-sustainability and resilience. We organize trainings and workshops that cover general, economic, business and personal aspects of transition. Our experts provide support and guidance through the transformation process at all levels, encouraging social changes towards sustainable development.

Member Of
Since 2020, we have been regional partners of the EU Clean Energy Secretariat for Islands established by the European Commission. Members of ESIN (European Small Island Network) since 2023. We are members of the Monitoring Committee of the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027 and the Integrated Territorial Programme 2021-2027, and the Island Council in Split-Dalmatia County.
