Zapewnia w polskiej przestrzeni powietrznej służbę ruchu lotniczego oraz inne służby żeglugi powietrznej: służbę łączności, służbę nawigacji, służbę dozorowania oraz służbę informacji lotniczej. Ponadto wypełnia inne zadania wymienione w ustawie o Polskiej Agencji Żeglugi Powietrznej z dnia 8 grudnia 2006 r.
