Mission & Goals

Pleias' main objective lies in training frugal (<3b) LLMs with an open science approach: open code, open weights, open data. Pleias aims at developing a suite of truly open-source, energy-efficient AI models (<3b parameters) trained on corpora exclusively containing content with open licences, that can be run locally and on personal devices and can be deployed for knowledge-intensive tasks with high degree of auditability and robustness. Pleias publishes all its models in open source and commercialises an orchestration solution for document processing tailored for banking, supply chain, insurance and public services.
