Mission & Goals
PTvT is the Dutch national centre of knowledge, expertise and networks in the field of technological education and the technological labour market. We connect policy, practice and science around social issues with education, business and (regional) government and jointly arrive at a powerful and practical approach. We do this regionally, nationally and internationally and preferably with multi-year programmes. Through the We are Katapult network, we connect more than 550 public private partnerships between education and business and this network is growing continuously. The aim is to improve cooperation between education, business and society, preventing that anyone has to reinvent the wheel and to make sure today's talent has the right skills to build a great tomorrow. Internationally, PTvT and Katapult facilitate the EU STEM Coalition and the Community of Practice of CoVEs.

Communication Activities
Forum on Vocational Excellence - PTvT hosted the 2023 edition of this event in Amsterdam, bringing together practitioners, policy makers and other stakeholders from Centers of Vocational Excellence and similar public private initiatives in (higher) VET education. PTvT holds the secretariat of the EU STEM Coalition. The EU STEM Coalition hosts a general assembly twice a year, inviting speakers and policy makers in the field of STEM.

Wij zijn Katapult is the operating name of PTvT's activities in the field of public private partnerships in VET. Wij zijn Katapult is an open source network of over 550 public-private-partnerships in VET and higher education. PTvT is facilitating this network, funded to do so by the Dutch Ministries of Education, Economic Affairs and Social Affairs via various funding schemes stimulating public private partnerships in education and innovation. Anyone working in such public private partnership can join the Katapult network to learn and to share own experiences. The network does not have a membership structure, but functions as an open source learning community instead. Secondly, PTvT is founding member of the EU STEM Coalition. This network of STEM platforms consists of 58 members, which are listed on: https://www.stemcoalition.eu/members/ Thirdly, PTvT is facilitating the Community of Practice of CoVEs, a grass roots initiative by the project leaders of the 81 Erasmus+ funded Centers of Vocational Excellence. The project leaders in this Community are meeting on a monthly basis to exchange practices, knowledge and lessons learned related to the implementation of Centers of Vocational Excellence. An overview of all Erasmus Centers of Vocational Excellence can be found on the network map on www.copcoves.eu. The pink markers are the Erasmus+ Centers of Vocational Excellence, the blue markers are similar national initiatives that are not directly involved in the Community. www.copcoves.eu
