Mission & Goals
La Plateforme Océan & Climat (POC) favorise la réflexion et le dialogue entre la communauté scientifique, la société civile et les décideurs politiques. Rassemblant plus de 110 organisations à travers le monde (instituts de recherche, ONG, fondations, centres scientifiques, entreprises, aquariums, autorités locales et régionales, organisations internationales), la POC diffuse les connaissances scientifiques et promeut des solutions fondées sur l'océan pour faire face au changement climatique et à l'érosion de la biodiversité. Acteur majeur de la communauté océan-climat-biodiversité, la POC bénéficie du statut d'observateur auprès des Nations Unies dans le cadre du conseil économique et social (ECOSOC), et des conventions sur le climat (CCNUCC) et la biodiversité (CDB). Elle participe également à la revue gouvernementale française des rapports du GIEC.
