Mission & Goals

Established in 1884, Piaggio is Europe’s largest scooter and motorcycle manufacturer and one of the world leaders. With a strong experience in urban mobility, started with Vespa in 1946, Piaggio can contribute to achieve EU Green Deal targets. Piaggio has different branches: • Scooters and motorcycles, including: Piaggio (Liberty, Beverly, Medley, MP3), Vespa, Aprilia (competing in the MotoGP), Moto Guzzi, Gilera and Derbi. • Light commercial vehicles: Ape and Porter. • Piaggio Fast Forward a robotics division based in Boston (US). Piaggio has different industrial sites. In Pontedera (Pisa) is located its largest production plant; in Noale and Scorzè (Venice) it is producing Aprilia and Scarabeo; in Mandello del Lario (Lecco), it is producing Moto Guzzi. Piaggio has also factories in India in Baramati (in the State of Maharashtra) and in Vietnam, in Vinh Phuc; four R&D Centres are in Pontedera, in Noale, in Pasadena, (California) and in Boston.
