Mission & Goals
PETCORE EUROPE is the European association and the voice of the entire PET value chain in Brussels since 1993. PET is an outstanding packaging material, and it is the largest plastic material recycled in Europe. PETCORE EUROPE represents all other associations and a significant number of companies involved in PET manufacture, PET packaging design and conversion, PET post-consumer recycling and other related activities. Detailed information is available on https://www.petcore-europe.org
EU Legislative Interests
All European initiatives, policies and legislation related to sustainability (e.g. eco-design, LCA and post-consumer waste management and recycling), the European Circular Economy and plastics strategy, and all other other related environmental, health and consumer safety matters, the Circular Plastics Alliance, etc.
Communication Activities
PETCORE EUROPE organises its annual major public event in Brussels or any other EU country: the PETCORE EUROPE conference - where all PET above related topics are openly discussed across the entire value chain and other stakeholders from the European institutions, NGOs and other related businesses. PETCORE EUROPE also organises specific public workshops where key activities are presented (by means of Working Groups open to non-members who can actively contribute), such as a Thermoforms, the Markers for post-consumer plastics waste identification, the completion of a EU-funded Polymark project, the ODR (Opaque and Difficult to Recycle), the PET trays and many other every year. PETCORE EUROPE has a public website - https://www.petcore-europe.org - where press releases, report and other information are regularly updated.
