Mission & Goals

We envision a world where people have access to social and spatial justice through dignified housing and labor conditions. Periféria Center works towards this vision by uncovering the root causes of socio-spatial inequalities in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe, by raising societal awareness around these inequalities, and by building more equitable alternatives to unjust systems. We focus on the fields of labor, housing and capital investments. We are based in Budapest, and approach our work from a strongly transnational, global perspective.
