Mission & Goals
PEPPPA is the Pan-European Personal Pension Providers Association, a non-profit industry association based in Brussels. Our mission is to support the implementation, adoption, and evolution of the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) in line with Regulation (EU) 2019/1238. We represent licensed PEPP providers, technology platforms, and pension innovators operating across EU Member States. We engage in policy advocacy, technical coordination, research, and public communication related to personal pensions, financial inclusion, and retirement savings. Our aim is to promote a harmonized, consumer-friendly, and future-proof EU pension ecosystem.
EU Legislative Interests
PEPPPA engages with EU institutions, including DG FISMA, EIOPA, and the European Parliament, to contribute technical feedback and provider perspectives on the implementation and improvement of the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) under Regulation (EU) 2019/1238. We participate in consultations, expert briefings, and working-level meetings, and provide input on supervisory measures and technical standards.
Communication Activities
PEPPPA conducts communication activities aimed at promoting awareness, understanding, and uptake of the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) in line with Regulation (EU) 2019/1238 and broader EU goals such as the Capital Markets Union and long-term savings policy. These activities include: Organizing and co-hosting webinars, workshops, and policy briefings with EU stakeholders, including EIOPA and DG FISMA; Publishing policy position papers, implementation guidance, and comparative studies on PEPP rules and best practices; Running awareness campaigns targeted at self-employed workers, mobile citizens, and cross-border professionals to explain the benefits of PEPP; Producing newsletters and reports summarizing regulatory developments and industry responses; Participating in EU public consultations, such as those on PEPP tax treatment, financial literacy, and digital pension tools.
