Mission & Goals
P2X Europe is an international Power-to-Liquid (PtL) and hydrogen project developer, a joint venture by MB Energy Holding GmbH & Co. KG and H&R GmbH & Co. KGaA, sharing the ambition in supplying their customers with sustainable products. P2X-Europe develops and invests in vertically integrated PtL and green H2 facilities to enable the market introduction of sustainable net-zero eFuels and chemicals derived from green hydrogen and biogenic carbon sources. The inbuilt offtake model enables the marketing of our SynZero™ products through our corporate parents' international distribution channels. P2X-Europe is pioneering the industry with designing, commissioning and operating experience from the world’s first green hydrogen and PtL demo plants. P2XE aims to produce synthetic hydrocarbons in the range of 20,000 - 100,000 t/a and 1,300 t/a of green hydrogen
EU Legislative Interests
The main regulations we are aiming to influence are: • CO2 regulation and the inclusion of GHG neutral liquid energy carriers (e.g. Synthetic Fuels) and other sustainable alternatives • General political support of sustainable fuels (green hydrogen and RFNBOs) as complementary enabler for a successful decarbonisation of the transport sector • Energy Taxing Directive (ETD) • Emission Trading System (ETS) • EU Taxonomy and especially the role of importers and independent fuel suppliers in this context • The regulations on sustainable electricity and hydrogen (Delegated Act on Art 27 of the RED) • Renewable Energy Directive (RED 3) FuelEU Maritime ReFuelEU Aviation • Revision of the Alternative Infrastructure Fuels Regulation - RFNBO certification, additionality clarfification We believe that liquid fuels will continue to play an important role in fuelling the mobility of tomorrow. The transformation towards cleaner and lower carbon economy will require a broad range of solutions to secure the future energy needs. Green Hydrogen and synthetic fuels (RFNBOs) will be one of the key components of this transformation.
