Particular attention was paid to discussions on the development of national restoration plans under the new EU legislation. P-United Ltd. participated in the European conference "Power to the Peatlands" in September 2023, Belgium. The main theme of the conference was peatlands, focusing on their value and approaches for conservation and restoration. The conference topic was directly linked to the preparation of a proposal related to the EU Nature Restoration Law. During the conference, the P-United’s representatives presented thematic posters in line with EU policy goals (Conference Power to the Peatlands, September 2023, Belgium. This communication activity highlighted how peatlands play a crucial role in carbon storage and climate regulation, supporting the EU’s ambition for climate neutrality by 2050. This outreach effort targeted EU policymakers, experts, and institutions involved in environmental legislation. P-United prepared practical guidelines to the applicants/beneficiaries of Programme Environment 2021-2027 on climate proofing of infrastructure in the period 2021-2027, adapted version of the Technical guidance, provided by the European Commission. In this context, in April, 2024, P-United conducted 2 trainings to applicants/beneficiaries of Programme Environment 2021-2027 (municipalities) on how to prepare consolidated documentation on climate proofing to their project proposals.
