Mission & Goals
Oxera is an economics consultancy firm with offices in several European countries. Our purpose is to use economics, finance and data science with impact, to inspire better decisions by businesses and policymakers, and to improve outcomes for society. Oxera works in many sectors, including financial services, water, transport, energy, pharmaceuticals, telecom and media and digital, and advises companies, governments, regulatory authorities, courts and law firms on a range of matters. www.oxera.com
EU Legislative Interests
Oxera conducts economic and financial analysis on behalf of its clients to inform EU policy and regulation in an objective and transparent way. In the course of that work, Oxera may undertake specific activities that are covered by the scope of the Register such as presenting our economic analysis at events, in publications, and meetings with officials from the European Commission. The details of these activities are provided in the Register. If work by Oxera is presented, then Oxera is always transparent on being the authors of the study and on whose behalf the work was conducted. Oxera does not have a public affairs arm to its business, and it does not include ‘public affairs’ in the defined purpose and objectives of its activities. In addition to the work which it carries out for its clients, Oxera, on its own initiative, conducts research and produces reports on issues related to the implementation and future development of EU policy and regulation. Beyond the advice it provides to business on regulatory and policy issues, Oxera advises clients on antitrust, merger, and state aid investigations, including in relation to their compliance with EU laws and regulations. These investigations are subject to legal proceedings and oversight by the courts and fall outside the scope of the Register.
