Mission & Goals

Promoting human rights at an international level, monitoring human rights violations and endeavouring to stop them by working with national, international, judicial, administrative and non-governmental organisations as well as by taking part in processes at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and the relevant organs of the United Nations (UN). Defending the fundamental rights of each individual or group; namely civil and political rights, economic rights, social and cultural rights; as well as international humanitarian rights, refugee rights, rights to a safe environment and sustainable development in Belgium as well as in the world, with a certain focus on Turkey. Defending the right to asylum, fighting against racial hatred, racism, xenophobia as well as all types of discrimination based on nationality, ethnic origin, gender, age, health, a handicap, union activity, political opinions, religious beliefs, social or family situation.

Communication Activities

Sensitising the public about the human rights violations around the world by way of meetings and public campaigns. Organising conferences, seminaries, workshops, training sessions and other types of activities intended for the defence of human rights. Conducting researches, studies, polls on human rights violations. Publishing newsletters, reports, dissertations, books, booklets, magazines and all types of supporting material. Pursuing dialogue, cooperating and exchanging with all associations or public and private organisations with a view to defend human rights.

Organisation Members

Some of our executive board members also hold executive positions at Fedactio (https://fr.fedactio.be/) and European Professionals Network (http://www.epnetwork.eu/) although we do not have any institutional affiliation with these organisations. We have co-organized a number of events (roundtables, conferences, panel discussions) in areas that are included in our human rights advocacy work.
