Mission & Goals
Pellervo is a service and a lobbying organisation for all Finnish cooperatives and a forum for cooperative activities. Our goal is to make the cooperative business model more known and offer the cooperative model as a competitive alternative for those thinking about starting a business. Pellervo strives to influence the legislative work and the economic and financial policies in Finland to accommodate the cooperative business model. Pellervo has an office in Brussels together with MTK - the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners, the central union of Swedish-speaking agricultural producers in Finland SLC and Finnish dairy, meat and egg cooperatives. Brussels office gathers information from different sources, analyses it and communicates towards the organisations in Finland. Brussels office also takes actively part in the work of the European farmers and agri-cooperatives organisation Copa-Cogeca. Pellervo is also a member of Cooperatives Europe.

ESR+ / Yhteiskunnallisten yritysten liiketoimintaedellytysten parantaminen -koordinaatiohankkeessa 2022-2027 on mukana 11 toteuttajaa, josta Pellervon hankeosuus alkoi syyskuussa 2023. Koordinaatiohanke tukee Suomen yhteiskunnallisten yritysten strategian toimeenpanoa. Koordinaatiohankkeen tehtävänä on vahvistaa toiminnan vaikuttavuutta ja tuloksellisuutta sekä edistää teeman hankkeiden keskinäistä yhteistyötä. Koordinaatiohanke lisää yhteiskunnallisten yritysten ja näiden työntekijöiden osaamista ja tukee tiedon keruuta ja analyysia. Siten se toteuttaa myös EU:n uuden yhteisötalouden toimintasuunnitelmaa. Lisäksi hanke tukee yhteiskunnallisten yritysten mahdollisuuksia tuottaa ja laajentaa sosiaalisia innovaatioita, ja toimii näitä tavoitteita tukevissa eurooppalaisissa verkostoissa.
