Mission & Goals
1) Die Internationale Organisation für das Seilbahnwesen (O.I.T.A.F.) steht allen Behörden, Verbänden, Institutionen, Unternehmungen und Einzelpersonen offen, die sich mit technischen, juridischen, administrativen oder wirtschaftlichen Fragen des Seilbahnwesens einschließlich Schlepplifte befassen. 2) Zweck der Organisation ist die Förderung der Entwicklung des Fortschrittes des Seilbahnwesens. Die Organisation bezweckt keinen Gewinn. 3) Im Hinblick auf den vorgenannten Zweck sieht die Organisation im Besonderen vor: a) Unterlagen technischer, juridischer, administrativer oder wirtschaftlicher Art, die sich auf Seilbahnen beziehen, sammeln, um über eine Schrifttums-Sammelstelle zu verfügen; b) die gesammelten Unterlagen durch periodische Mitteilungen an die Mitglie-der verbreiten; c) den Meinungsaustausch über Fragen des Seilbahnwesens erleichtern d) Studien und Versuche fördern, die der Entwicklung und dem Fortschritt des Seilbahnwesens dienen; e) die Harmonisieru (...)

Communication Activities
Collaboration in the creation of the former Directive 2000/9/EC on cableway installations. Collaboration in the creation of the Regulation (EU) 2016/424 on cableway installations. Significant and valuable inputs to the elaboration of the new Guidelines of interpretation of Regulation (EU) 2016/424 on cableway installations. Participation to the regular Working Group meetings chaired by the Commission on cableway installations, providing position papers and other valuable inputs for a common interpretation of Regulation (EU) 2016/424. Since the Working Group on cableway installations is being transformed into an Expert Group, OITAF has been appointed as member of the new Commission Expert Group on cableway installations (E03674). Participation to the standardisation activities for the drafting of harmonised standards under Regulation (EU) 2016/424 on cableway installations (technical committee CEN TC 242)
