Mission & Goals
Orbotix’s mission is to design and develop state-of-the-art autonomous systems and AI-powered platforms that enhance safety, resilience and operational effectiveness across defence, security and critical-infrastructure domains. We build tomorrow’s defence and security capabilities by addressing critical gaps in current operational technology. At a time when drone training is time-intensive and parts of the global market are imbalanced, we deliver rapid-deployment platforms that enable fast response and real-time decision-making for operators in complex environments. Operating mainly within the European Union and its allied partners, we support sovereign European capabilities through modular, interoperable technologies. We empower military, law-enforcement and public-safety organisations to protect populations and critical assets—contributing to a stronger, safer and more autonomous Europe.
EU Legislative Interests
Defence Readiness Roadmap (European Commission / High Representative joint initiative); Regulation (EU) 2021/697 establishing the European Defence Fund (EDF); European Drone Defence Initiative (proposed flagship under EU defence capability development); Eastern Flank Watch Flagship (proposed capability and surveillance flagship); European Defence Industrial Strategy (EDIS) and the associated Defence Investment Programme; Defence Production Action Plan (DPAP); Regulation on harmonised rules on artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence Act); Directive (EU) 2022/2557 on the resilience of critical entities (CER Directive); Regulation (EU) 2021/664 on the U-Space framework and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 on unmanned aircraft systems; Directive 2009/43/EC on intra-EU transfers of defence-related products; Directive 2009/81/EC on defence and security procurement.
Communication Activities
Orbotix has not yet undertaken formal communication activities such as campaigns, publications or open letters related to the EU initiatives listed above. Our communication with EU institutions has so far been limited to direct technical exchanges and our participation in the European Defence Industry Roundtable on European drone / counter-drone capabilities on 28 November 2025, following an official invitation from the European Commission. No opinion polls, campaigns or dedicated communications have been produced.
