Mission & Goals
Since its launch in 2018, the Open Ethics initiative paved the way for the industry to fundamentally rethink how to deal with the information asymmetry between those who develop, deploy — and those who consume services, delivered via autonomous technologies, such as artificial intelligence. Open Ethics is a global inclusive initiative with the mission to engage citizens, legislators, engineers, and subject-matter experts into a transparent design and deployment of solutions backed by artificial intelligence to make a positive societal impact. The Open Ethics Initiative functions as a research and educational institution that contributes to the development of comprehensive frameworks, standards, and accessible resources to navigate various socio-technological phenomena. Our goals are to bring standards and tools to enable transparent ecosystems where humans and AI successfully work together.

Open Ethics Initiative has been created as a community based on voluntary contribution and individual membership. We have not been fundraising recently and we would like to mention that the representatives are contributing on a pro-bono basis.
