Mission & Goals

OP2B is an action-oriented business coalition for the protection and restoration of biodiversity. Our mission is to improve agricultural biodiversity throughout value chains by scaling-up the deployment of regenerative agriculture. Positioned at CEO level, while working at an operational level with technical actors, we are an impactful coalition of engaged companies across the entire value chain. The main sectors include food and drink manufacturers, ingredient providers, fashion industries and cosmetic industry, farmer cooperatives and retailers.

EU Legislative Interests

Soil Health Initiative; Certification of Carbon Removals, including CRCF; Nature restoration law; Legislative framework for sustainable food systems; Post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy; Nature Credits Roadmap, On-Farm Sustainability Compass.

Communication Activities

OP2B has already submitted contributions to or participated in the: - Nature Restoration Law, with 2 official contributions, 2 expert workshops and an article (https://www.wbcsd.org/Projects/OP2B/News/Agrifood-coalition-calls-on-EU-to-be-bolder-in-tackling-worrying-soil-health) - Soil Health Initiative, with 3 official contributions - European Business and Nature Summit 2021, as a co-organizer and hosting our own event. - EESC's advice on regenerative agriculture in June 2025
