Mission & Goals
OLX is a global marketplace leader that builds platforms to facilitate trade. Serving tens of millions of people around the world every month, OLX exists to enable buyers to afford things they would not usually buy as new, and to enable sellers to make extra cash and generate their own revenue stream. Our mission is to make the most of what already exists in the world. We know by now that the world’s current system of consumption is not sustainable. To disrupt the current linear system of take-make-dispose we want to shift as many people as possible to a more sustainable (circular) way of consumption.
EU Legislative Interests
We are committed to a comprehensive array of policies, including the Green Agenda, Consumer Protection, Competition, Taxation, Privacy, Digital Innovation, Trade, the Circular Economy, and Artificial Intelligence. In alignment with these initiatives, we plan to engage with Commission officials and members, as well as officials of the European Parliament. Our aim is to demonstrate our efforts (e.g. such as driving sustainability, reducing waste and shaping greener future for all), and advocate for what we believe to be the most effective policy approach for the European Union.
Communication Activities
In June 2025, as a member of the Classifieds Marketplaces Coalition, an official partner of the EU Green Week, we held an event: “Meet Marketplaces Making Circular Economy Work”.
