Mission & Goals
The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products. OCIMF's overriding goal is to improve the safe and environmentally responsible operation of oil tankers and terminals on a global scale. OCIMF's mission is to be the foremost authority on the safe and environmentally responsible operation of oil tankers, terminals and offshore support vessels, promoting continuous improvement in standards of design and operation.
EU Legislative Interests
Safe and environmentally responsible 1) transportation of oil and gas cargoes, and 2) operation of oil and gas terminals.
Communication Activities
ISGINTT 2, developed in partnership with CCNR and EBU - for safe transportation and handling of oil and gas cargoes on inland barging in Europe.

OCIMF was granted Consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in 1971.
