Mission & Goals
Fondée en 1856, l’Œuvre d’Orient est une association à but non lucratif ayant un caractère social et humanitaire, régie par la loi de 1901. A ce jour, le réseau de l’Oeuvre d’Orient se développe et se structure au niveau européen dans plusieurs pays (Belgique, Monaco, Pologne, Espagne, Royaume-Uni, Suisse). L’association soutient des projets dans plus de 20 pays, dans des domaines diversifiées : Education (crèches, écoles, jardins d’enfants, orphelinas, foyers, mouvement de jeunes, promotion de la femme, associations œuvrant pour la paix et le dialogue interreligieux…) Santé et aides sociales et économiques (dispensaire, hôpitaux, institutions pour handicapés et pour personne en fin de vie maison de retraites, aide alimentaire, micro-crédit, formation professionnelle) Vie des communautés (reconstruction et fonctionnement des églises, soutien à la vie quotidienne des religieux au service de la population), Aspects culturels et patrimoniaux (reconstruction de bâtimen (...)
