Mission & Goals
Oceans of Energy designs, builds, installs, and operates offshore solar farm systems, and is active in the associated research. We aim to provide offshore solar farms to (renewable energy) project developers, that can use the systems to generate clean energy. Offshore solar enables large scale clean energy projects in regions that have limited offshore alternatives (such as low offshore wind resources) and that have large sites dedicated to offshore wind (where offshore solar can be integrated to increase power output per km2 with a factor 5x), whilst not requiring land space. It is our goal that offshore solar serves a large share of the renewable energy generation worldwide, similar as offshore wind in the wind industry.

Communication Activities
Oceans of Energy hosts visits to its offshore solar demonstration projects, in particular to the Nymphaea Aurora offshore solar project, installed in Summer 2025 and set to become worldwide the first offshore solar project integrated within an offshore wind farm.
