Mission & Goals
OAZA promotes education for sustainable development and active citizenship, encompassing democracy, health, environment, and human rights. It encourages children and young people to adopt responsible values and actively contribute to their communities. The association supports personal growth, social inclusion, and the development of civil society through participatory and innovative approaches. It fosters social solidarity, volunteerism, intergenerational cooperation, and social entrepreneurship. OAZA works to improve quality of life through healthy and sustainable lifestyles, mental health, and recreation, while advancing lifelong learning, research, and international cooperation. The association operates in the fields of education and science, environmental and nature protection, social inclusion, prevention and health, energy, urban and rural development, civil society, volunteering, and international cooperation.

Communication Activities
OAZA representatives have attended and participated in EU-level events, seminars and conferences related to youth policy, education for sustainable development, and environmental topics, including events organised or co-funded by the European Commission. OAZA has contributed to EU public consultations relevant to youth, education and environmental policy, providing input that reflects the perspective of civil society organisations working at the local and community level. OAZA has implemented projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, engaging directly with programme structures, national agencies and European Commission guidelines in the fields of non-formal education, active citizenship and sustainable development. OAZA is a member of civil society networks and platforms that engage with EU institutions on topics including youth participation, volunteering, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.

Member Of
Croatian Youth Network (www.mmh.hr) The Croatian Youth Network is an alliance of 77 youth- and youth-oriented associations across the Republic of Croatia. The Croatian Youth Network, as a heterogeneous platform, connects diverse organizations (advocacy, cultural, environmental, minority, etc.) with a common interest in developing youth policies, both at the national and regional/local levels. GOOD Initiative (https://goo.hr/good-inicijativa/) An initiative of civil society organizations that advocates for the systematic and high-quality introduction of human rights and democratic citizenship education into the educational system.
