EU Legislative Interests

NIFRO's activities related to the EU are primarily targeted towards the EU Space Policy (as described, e.g. on the net site: https://ec.europa.eu/defence-industry-space/eu-space-policy_en) and other EU political priorities under the responsibility of DG DEFIS. In this context, NIFRO's primary interest is to promote the interests of the Norwegian space sector to achieve optimum results that are mutually beneficial to both EU and Norwegian interests. Political dialogue: NIFRO is the recognized voice of the Norwegian space industry for dialogue with the Norwegian government and with other national and international stakeholders. Promoting awareness of the wide-ranging benefits of the space sector. Promoting networking and cooperation: Providing a forum and creating meeting places to promote networking and collaboration among members and with other stakeholders.

Communication Activities

NIFRO's primary objective is to develop growth in Norway’s share of the global space market, by promoting the best commercial, political and public environment for the space industry in Norway.

Additional Information

Note that NIFRO does not have an office in the EU, all our EU-related activities are performed from our office in Oslo, Norway (but still within the EEA - European Economic Area). And, the majority of NIFRO's activities are, after all, concentrated on the national level.
