Mission & Goals
The North Norway European Office (NNEO), represents the regional interests of northern Norway in Brussels. The office was established in 2005 to front and improve regional and economic development in North Norway. NNEO is owned by the three northernmost counties in Norway: Nordland, Troms and Finnmark. In addition, the office has four partners: City of Tromsø, Nord University, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway and Salten regional council Key interests in Europe: North Norway European Office was established 1 January 2005 and is owned by the three northern most counties in Norway: Nordland, Troms and Finnmark. The office is located in Brussels and serves as a door opener and an arena maker for Northern Norwegian actors in relation to the European Union. The office holds an informational role, with particular focus on the EU Arctic policy, regional policy, current industrial policies and European Arctic cooperation.
