Mission & Goals
The Nordic Counter-Terrorism Network promotes security awareness and provides education, research, and training programs dedicated to broadening the knowledge and understanding of complex international and domestic issues; and events in the field of non-traditional security and facilitating and coordinating interaction among multi-disciplinary and international counter-terrorism institutions and professionals.NCTN's portfolio of expertise includes migration and home affairs policy. Counter-Terrorism, International Affairs in the thematic areas of Migration & asylum, Security. The NCTN team of advisors and international advisory members may be requested to contribute to policy research from an international dimension. 1. Contribution to public consultations, hearings of the European Union on Defence Policy, Counter-Terrorism, Radicalisation, and Cyber Intelligence and Security, amongst many other areas of related expertise. 2. Workshops through European Institutions for stakeholders at the European Union level 3. Preparing position papers related to EUs ongoing consultations 4- Exchange of academic papers and journals prepared by NCTNs 5. Capacity building in NCTN Training expertise through European Union-funded projects

Additional Information
The Nordic Counter Terrorism Network (NCTN) was established in the year 2020. Since its inauguration, the scope was confined to the Nordic Region and further built on existing global stakeholder partnerships within the EU, Africa, Middle East and Asia. NCTN targets expansion outreach within the EU and EU Institutions within the next three years.
