Mission & Goals
Center for Local Government is Belgrade-based think-tank dealing with good governance, fight against corruption and introduction of European standards at local level both in Serbia and Western Balkans. In addition, our goal is to promote regional cooperation and partnerships, reconciliation and adherence of Western Balkans to the European Union and Euro-Atlantic community.
EU Legislative Interests
One of the main focuses of the Center for Local Government is to encourage further enlargement of the EU (policy: EU enlargement) and to help, guide and support the local governments in the candidate countries to meet EU values, laws and standards. That is why we shell seek to establish contacts first and foremost in the DG NEAR and the EEAS.

Member Of
Center for Local Government started an initiative called "Beograd ne može da čeka"/"Belgrade can't wait" with several partners. Web link: https://beogradnemozedaceka.com/ The initiative "Beograd ne može da čeka"/"Belgrade can't wait" brings together citizens, associations, professional organizations and eminent personalities in order to jointly create a program "Belgrade 2030" for the future. Our goal is Belgrade as a capital according to its citizens, an engine of Serbia's development and the center of Southeast Europe for business, trade, culture and education. Alongside this initiative, CLS is actively involved in key areas such as monitoring the management of public enterprises and budget spending, advocating for transparency and political accountability, analyzing public transport contracts and the impact of privatization, as well as promoting citizen participation and organizing public debates on important urban issues.

Additional Information
Center for Local Government, Belgrade is NGO organisation with strong presence in media and in the field. We are successfully implemented all of our activities thanks to the volunteer engagement of our members and associates. We would also like to continue to be active in submission of project applications in the frame of national and EU proposals and funds. It will be one of the ways that will contribute to the organizational and financial stabilization of the Center of Local Government in the future.
