Mission & Goals

NANE (Women for Women Together against Violence) Association was founded in 1994 with the aim of eliminating violence against women and children. NANE is a public benefit, non-profit, non-governmental organization. It provides individual assistance mainly through its helpline. NANE also runs support and self-help groups for victims/survivors of violence. The organization's training and prevention programs are available to different professionals and institutions. An important aim and area of NANE's work is publication of books, professional and information materials for both the professionals and the victims; as well as organization of awareness-raising campaigns and professional programs. NANE's aims and activities include issuing analysis and recommendations for the development of legislation, law enforcement, professional procedures and the institutional system. NANE also monitors state compliance to international norms and prepares submissions to international mechanisms.
