Mission & Goals
No Name Foundation is a United States based public charity recognised under section 501(c)(3). Our remit is to advance human wellbeing and resilience through science, technology, and evidence based humanitarian action. We develop and deploy high technology solutions that strengthen health, education, environmental protection, and the rights of women and children. We also contribute to policy dialogue on responsible innovation, with an emphasis on safety, transparency, privacy, and measurable public benefit. Our work combines research translation, capacity building, and practical delivery with partners in communities affected by crisis and long term vulnerability.
EU Legislative Interests
Our engagement focuses on EU initiatives where technology governance and humanitarian outcomes intersect. We follow and contribute to policy discussions on the EU AI Act and its implementation, with particular attention to safety, transparency, human oversight, and the protection of fundamental rights in high impact contexts such as crisis response and public services. We track the General Data Protection Regulation and related EU data governance measures, including the Data Governance Act, the Data Act, and the European Health Data Space, to promote privacy preserving approaches that still enable lifesaving analytics and research. We follow the Digital Services Act and digital integrity frameworks where online harms and disinformation affect vulnerable groups, including women and children. We also monitor cybersecurity and resilience measures such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act to encourage practical standards for secure humanitarian information systems and critical service continuity. In research and innovation, we follow Horizon Europe and Digital Europe Programme priorities, including trustworthy AI, advanced computing, space enabled services, and mission oriented innovation. In climate and environment, we align with the European Green Deal and EU climate adaptation policies, especially where risk analytics and early warning can reduce loss of life. We track EU civil protection and humanitarian instruments, including the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and relevant European Commission services responsible for humanitarian aid and crisis response, to support interoperable, accountable, and evidence led delivery.
Communication Activities
Public consultation submissions when relevant, focused on operational realities of crisis response, data protection in vulnerable settings, and safety by design for high impact AI systems. Short policy briefs translating field lessons into actionable recommendations for EU decision makers, with clear risk registers and measurable safeguards. Expert roundtables and webinars bringing together technologists, humanitarian practitioners, and civil society to discuss responsible innovation, digital resilience, and protection of children and other vulnerable groups. Technical notes and case studies on privacy preserving analytics, secure digital systems, and responsible use of advanced computing for early warning and resource allocation. Publication of plain language explainers that improve public understanding of EU technology governance and its implications for human rights, humanitarian outcomes, and societal trust.
