Mission & Goals
NYK Line is a global shipping company, established in 1885. Headquarters are located in Japan, but our service is globally expanded and cover from shipping, air freight and land logistics. Our aspirations, is that we go beyond the scope of a comprehensive global logistics enterprise to co-create value required for the future by advancing our core business and growing new ones.
EU Legislative Interests
EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime. Both directive and regulation were finalized and took into effect this year and will be from 2025. We are global shipping company and our vessels are calling European ports very frequently. Basically shipping sector was delegated by UNFCCC to tackle our own decarbonization actions under IMO regime globally, not regionally. We are keen on how EU are considering of promoting actions on climate change for international shipping sector.
Communication Activities
MUFG (Mitsubishi UFG Financial group) are now coordinating some meetings with some DG, such as Environment, FISMA and Grow and more. MUFG are inviting some Japanese companies to join this meeting. Each meeting will be individually held.
