Mission & Goals

NIO designs, develops, manufactures and distributes premium smart electric vehicles and drives next-generation innovation in autonomous driving, digital technologies, electric powertrains and batteries. NIO sets itself apart through its continuous technological breakthroughs and innovations, such as its industry-leading battery replacement technologies, Battery as a Service (BaaS), as well as its proprietary technologies for autonomous driving and Autonomous Driving as a Service (ADaaS). The role of the NIO Brussels Office is to: - Anticipate, monitor and analyse relevant EU policy developments; - Inform relevant departments and support subsequent amendments to company products or practices; - Provide input, where necessary and appropriate, to EU decision-makers through policy statements, responses to public consultations or impact assessments; - Represent the company and its interests in relevant EU forums.
