Mission & Goals
News Media Finland is a trade association for news media publishers. It is a member of the Finnish Media Federation, which safeguards the common interests of the media industry. The association's task is to strengthen the social significance and vitality of news media and its position as a leading media for advertisers and readers, as well as its position in people's daily life. News Media Finland guards the interests of the field in cooperation with the Finnish Media Federation.
EU Legislative Interests
EU legislative proposals and policies affecting news media such as for example copyright and other IPR, taxation (especially value-added tax), freedom of speech (and especially press freedom), digital single market and platforms, data protection (and e-privacy), media literacy, distribution, data and artificial intelligence related proposals and policies.
