EU Legislative Interests

EU initiatives, policies and legislative files pertaining to or affecting research, development and innovation in the field of software and services, e.g. the European Cyber Resilience Act, Data Act and AI Act. NESSI interacts most closely with EC DG CNECT Unit E.2, and in addition liaises with other Units from time to time, regarding the European research and innovation agenda. NESSI closely follows the discussions related to the Multiannual Financial Framework regarding research and innovation. NESSI seeks to promote research, development and innovation in the field of software, data and digital services in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the European industry in this field and represent industry and other organizations active in this field.
