Mission & Goals

To connect people and knowledge to create innovations that boost the sustainable competitiveness of industry and well being of society. TNO is a Dutch, public, independent, not-for-profit applied research and technology organization with approximately 4500 employees. With support of and in close coordination with the Dutch government we carry out well defined research programmes on energy, health, defence and security, mobility and building environment, circular economy and industrial innovation. Based on our expertise and research, TNO develops public/private ecosystems, hence strengthening the competitiveness of the Dutch economy and innovation policy and enhancing societal welfare.
