Mission & Goals
NEG8 Carbon is an Irish climate technology company developing next generation modular Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. The company focuses on improving sorbent performance, reducing energy use and advancing systems control in order to lower capture costs to enable widespread deployment. NEG8 Carbon aims to supply DAC adsorber units internationally through partnerships with CO₂ utilisation project developers and DAC park developers which can help decarbonise hard-to-abate industries and transport. DAC is viewed not as a replacement for reducing emissions but as a necessary tool for residual CO₂ removal and achieving net-zero and negative emissions. The DAC systems can use low-grade waste heat from industrial processes, and captured CO₂ can be stored or used in products such as eSAF, concrete or chemical processes. Overall, the remit is to deliver cost-effective DAC systems and scale removal capacity toward mid-century targets.
