Mission & Goals
Nature and Youth Sweden (Fältbiologerna) is the youth organisation of the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC, Naturskyddsföreningen) and Sweden's largest youth environmental organisation. The organisation aims to educate and guide young environmentalists and their impact work through fostering a love and understanding for biology and ecology upon which our policy suggestions and our activism are formed.
EU Legislative Interests
Nature and Youth Sweden continues its work on the EU level with marine questions, focusing on following and commenting proposed revisions to the CFP as well as supporting a marine policy task force engaged with the EU4Ocean initiative. Nature and Youth Sweden are also involved in restoration work across Sweden to support the goals detailed in the restoration law, as well as part of the national reference gropup fpr the the national implementation plan.
Communication Activities
The organisation continues its work with the Common Fisheries Policy and its Multiannual Plans (specifically for the North and Baltic Seas) to strive for more environmentally friendly fisheries management, as well as leading restoration works in freshwater environments and wetlands.
