Our Vision: Dedicated to advancing democratic values through research and advocacy efforts, NAVI envisions a world where the bonds forged in service endure. Our commitment transcends borders as we strive to create a dynamic network, providing support to NATO Veterans and their families. In line with this vision, NAVI is steadfast in ensuring that the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and individual freedoms remain at the forefront of our mission, fostering a global community built on enduring connections.

EU Legislative Interests

The newly established NAVI conducts academic research and analysis that contributes to the global debate on peace, democracy, and security from the perspective of NATO-EU relations, in particular on the following topics 1. NATO-The EU Relations 2. The European Cyber Resilience Act 4. The Critical Entities Resilience Directive (CER) 8. The European Chips Act 9. The European Data Act 10. European Data Governance Act (DGA) 11. The Artificial Intelligence Act 13. The European Cyber Defence Policy 15. GDPR 16. The EU Economic Security Strategy 17. EU- Indo-Pasific Stratgy 18. 1. In a recent discussion on the success of the European Union's New Pact on Migration and Asylum, also known as the Migration Pact, let's recall a insightful interview by former Belgian Prime Minister with NAVI Research Institute. A retired general provided an excellent overview of the 2023 Vilnius NATO Summit and the road to the 2024 NATO Summit in a special session for the NAVI Speaker Series. The event was an invaluable opportunity to gain deeper insights into the challenges and opportunities facing NATO. The audience brought forward thought-provoking questions, ranging from the "strategic shift from capacity based planning to threat based planning", The EU-NATO relations, the role of veterans to contribute the mission and values of NATO and the rising authoritarianism around the world.
