Mission & Goals
The National Defence Technology Centre (NFC) is a joint initiative of all universities and government approved research and development organisations (GTS institutes) in Denmark. The aim of the NFC is that the universities and institutes can contribute to a critical technological boost of the Danish Armed Forces and the Danish defence industry through interdisciplinary partnerships that combine technological innovation with civil, military, political and economic considerations to make Denmark a significant international knowledge player in defence and security technology. The NFC serves as a vector for Danish expertise to contribute fully to the defence and competitiveness of Europe and, as such, the NFC collaborates with like-minded partners across Europe for project and representation purposes alike. Aalborg University is hosting the National Defence centre, while the technical university of Denmark is chairing the steering committee.
