Mission & Goals
Gasunie is a European energy infrastructure company responsible for managing, maintaining and developing networks for the large‑scale transport, storage, and import of energy and gases in the Netherlands and Germany. While natural gas still makes up the majority of these flows, the energy transition is driving a shift toward CO₂ and hydrogen. Gasunie also promotes the injection of green gas and plays an active role in developing and operating heat networks. Together, these efforts reflect Gasunie’s ambition to accelerate the transition to a climate‑neutral energy system, while safeguarding energy security and supporting European industry.
